Sympathies message

  1. My sympathies for the family of Asa Wood. I grew up with her husband Bill (Woody). He was best man at my wedding and best friend for my life. When he passed, a part of me went with him. Together we played hockey in Minnesota growing up. Herb Brooks was our coach and we spent every waking moment looking forward to the next time we could skate together. He was nicknamed “The Kitchen Magician”. I had just heard that Asa had passed away last July and my heart aches for their 4 children. I can’t imagine the emotional turmoil those young adults are going through. My prayers are for all of them. I pray God’s plan for them will make them strong for the other adversities life will throw at them. I was blessed to have had him as my best friend. He made me a better hockey player, father, husband, and overall person.
