Allan James Gray, 104, of Silvis passed away July 17, 2019 at Bickford Cottage in Davenport. Masonic services will be held at 1pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Allan was born April 19, 1915 in Moline, IL the son of Christopher and Jessie Fraser Gray. He married Marian M. Heath March 7, 1942 in Memphis, MO. She passed away July 19, 2006. Allan served in the Army during WWII. He retired from John Deere Foundry after 40 years and was a member of the Silvis Masonic Lodge and Moline VFW. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Survivors include his son Robert (Sharon) Gray of Bettendorf; grandchildren Christine (Michael) Coyne-Logan, Robert A. Jr. (Robyn) Gray, and Jonathan (Kathleen McCormack) Gray; great grandchildren Trevor, William, Hallie, and Stella; special nieces and nephews Jessie Boyd, Jackie Martens, Pam Green, Christopher Gray, and Mike Green. Allan was preceded in death by his wife, brother Harry, sister Alma Carlisle and several nieces and nephews.
