Alice’s Obituary Alice Kiepke, 91, formerly of Centerville, SD departed this life on June 28, 2019 in Chicago, IL. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 8, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Centerville, SD. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville, SD. Alice June Johnke was born in Centerville, SD on June 10, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Fern (Johnson) Johnke. She was baptized on May 24, 1942 and confirmed one week later, on May 31, 1942, in Centerville. She was united in holy matrimony with Leland George Kiepke on June 23, 1946. Alice was a longtime resident of Chicago and an active member of Ashburn Lutheran Church where she had been a member for almost 60 years. She leaves to mourn her departure her children, Elroy (Margaret) Kiepke and Ramona Golding; grandchildren, Denise Rohr, Troy Golding and Tanya Golding; great-grandchildren, Dale Golding, Paul Golding, Brandon Rohr, Hayley Rohr, Madison Wilburn, Abigail and Zane Golding and Jordyn Manning; great-great grandchildren, Riley Golding and Luka Golding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Kiepke and her eldest grandson, Dale Jay Golding. Praise be to Christ for all He has done for Alice, and for all of us by His birth, His death, and His glorious resurrection from the dead. Read More
