Adele Sue Baquet Friday July 12th 2019

Friday July 12th 2019
Sue Baquet, the mother of Carol, Colleen, and Robert “Bobby” Baquet passed away on July 12, 2019 quite literally surrounded by her family, after a long fight to thrive. She was “29”. Sue was born Adel Sue Thompson, on March 30, 1937 in Scottsbluff, NE. to Carroll and Marie Thompson. She was the eldest sister to Leon “Lee”, and Katherine “Kitty” Thompson. Sue married to Dale Zier in 1957, and Robert “Bob” Baquet in 1964; together they raised Carol, Colleen, and Bobby. They were blessed with 6 Grandchildren; Nathan, Katherine, and Robert Clause; Jennifer, Suzanne, and Travis Jackson; Sam, and Nicolle Baquet; 11 Great Grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way. Sue was a vibrant social butterfly who adored her family, always knew someone wherever she went, and she loved to travel! Shopping was her favorite pastime, but she was particularly proud of her time spent as an administrator for Western Nebraska Community College, at the Cougar bookstore. Sue was thrilled to be baptized into the Catholic Church later in life, which was something she had long aspired to do. As a result, she passed away peacefully without regrets and her advice for her surviving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was regarding career opportunities, education, and love; “When it’s there, take it”. A service was held Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Westlawn Cemetery in Gering Nebraska. Read Less To send flowers in memory of Adele Sue Baquet, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
