Tom’s Obituary Tom Anderson Services for Thomas Clinton “Tom” Anderson, 85, of Allen will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Mr. Anderson died Friday, June 14, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born in 1933 in Wetumka to Clint and Tilda Mae Ussery Anderson. He graduated from Allen High School. He married Johanna Maywald in 1956 at Landshut, Germany. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2017. He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years including two tours during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After moving to Iowa in 1971, he worked at Dupont until his retirement, moving back to his hometown in Allen, OK in 2002. Mr. Anderson was a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of AARP, German-American Club of Davenport, IA and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wood and husband Mike, Holland, MI; one brother, Jim Anderson and wife Lynette, Allen; three sisters, Francis Berglund, Allen, Dorothy Poisson, Moore, and Mildred Anderson and husband Phil, Allen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bob Anderson and Don Anderson. The family says, those you wish may make memorials to the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, 407 E.
