Sylvia’s Obituary Sylvia Wohler, 83 died June 16, 2019 in Clay Center, KS. She was born on April 11, 1936 in Clay County, KS, the daughter of Murl and Clarabel (Baldwin) Modean. Sylvia was raised in Clay County near Idana and graduated from CCCHS. She married Elmer Wohler on September 5, 1954. Sylvia worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, drove the book mobile for Pottawatomie and Wabaunsee counties and was a volunteer for several organizations, including the Clay County Museum. Elmer preceded her in death on December 24, 2009. Sylvia was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
