Sarah F. Pierce, 94, of the Carters Quarter Community, died at her home on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Sarah was born near Carters Quarter on June 10, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Vester and Viola Terry Fields. Along with her parents, her husband, Wilbert Pierce, preceded her in death. Sarah was a longtime member of Fairview Church of God. Sarah is survived by her children, James Pierce and his wife, Sarah Anne, Frances Pierce Burton, Thomas Pierce and his wife, Sharron Gail, and Harry Pierce; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The Pierce family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from Fairview Church of God, 3050 Taylor Town Rd NE, Ranger, GA 30734. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Terry Jones will officiate. Iris Parker will have charge of the music. Sarah’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers; her great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.maxbrannonandsons.com.
