Pheba’s Obituary Memorial services for Pheba Charlyn Smith Tharp, 79, will be Friday, June 28, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the House of Prayer with Pastor Larry Murray officiating. Charlyn was born June 5, 1940 at Dillard, Oklahoma to the late Ewort W. and Thelma C. Talley Smith. She passed from this life on June 24, 2019 due to complications from a brief illness at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She married Billie Dean Tharp on March 30, 1960 in Calvin, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death June 21, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Benjamin Harrison Tharp III, Billy Jack Walk and her brother Dale Smith. Charlyn was a Registered Nurse at Mercy Memorial Hospital where she worked in surgery/recovery. She was an avid reader and an exceptional baker, she made the best pies. She loved to travel and spend time at her house on Lake Eufaula. She has touched many lives with her healing hands, and she will be dearly missed. Charlyn is survived her son Allen Tharp and wife Kathy of Lone Grove, her sister-in-law and best friend Rose Tharp of the home, her brother Ralph Smith; grandchildren Crystal Carrell and husband Regan of Ardmore; Kirby Langford of Ardmore; Kenneth Walk and wife Melissa of Healdton; and Jeffery Walk of California.
