Funeral Service for Peggy Rogers, 83 of Enid, will be Monday, June 10, 2019, 2:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lester Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 3:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home. Peggy was born on February 1, 1936 in Lovell, Oklahoma to Bert and Minnie (Maxwell) Choate and passed away on June 5, 2019 in Enid. Peggy married Theodore “Ted” Rogers on July 2, 1954 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They lived in Charleston, South Carolina until 1957, when they moved to Enid. Peggy worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 40 years. She monitored all the hearts of people on telemetry in the hospital in the Oasis. She loved painting, flower arranging, and working in her garden. She loved to spoil their Boston Bull Dog, Dolly. Peggy was preceded in death by both her parents; her son, Ted Rogers, Jr.; granddaughter, Amy Dawn Ragan; Ted and Ruby Rogers; and 5 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Ted; daughters, Debbie Ragan and husband, Richard, and Sherry Smith and husband, Tony; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna Ellson.
