MARY JO POWELL, age 85 of Bayview, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019. She was a longtime member of Bayview Baptist Church, a current member of Mulga Baptist Church, and a past longtime member of Louise Richardson Chapter 236 Order of the Easter Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Powell; grandson, Kenneth Shane Jones; son-in-law Hoyt Wayne Jones; parents, James Little Robbins and Bessie Robbins Nichols; sister, Hannah Louise Aldrich; brothers Jimmy and Carl Posey. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 5pm until 7pm at Mulga Baptist Church with Funeral Service beginning at 7pm. Rev. Crant Hicks and Rev. Charles Click will officiate. Private graveside service will be at Village Falls Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Jones of Bayview; grandson, Jeffrey Jones of South Roebuck, her “Fair-haired boy”, Joey Jennings of South Roebuck; Nieces Gail Lowery of McCalla, Elaine Vines, Lori Smith, and Linda Pugh; Nephews Johnny Aldrich of McCalla, and Mike and Steve Powell; number of great and great great nieces and nephews.
