Longtime Wilbraham resident, Margaret P. (Fusick) Powis, 91, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at home. Born in Girardville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Prokopovich) Fusick and she worked as a secretary for Bay State Gas Co. for many years. Above all, Margaret was devoted to her family. She was predeceased by her husband Henry J. Powis, Jr. and her son Phillip Powis. She will be sadly missed by her five loving children: Henry James Powis, III of Wilbraham, Thomas Powis and his wife Lisa of Newbury, MA, Glenn Powis and his wife Diane of Palmer, John Powis and his wife Lily of Fremont, CA and Margaret Rhodes and her husband Scott of Monson, daughter in law Patricia Powis, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret’s Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia’s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Visitation will precede the Mass from 8:00 – 9:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
