Mame Willodean Durrett of Council Hill, Oklahoma December 12, 1936 – June 1, 2019 Mame Willodean Durrett, 82, of Council Hill, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born December 12, 1936 in the Heavener, Oklahoma to Clifford and Reba (Mairel) Shupert. On November 28, 1953, Dean married Billy Gene Durrett in Poplar, CA. They returned to the Council Hill area 50 years ago from California. Dean worked several jobs, but her number one priority was taking care of her family and home. She helped Bill on the farm for many, many years. In her spare time, Dean enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Dean was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Reba Shupert; her husband, Billy Gene Durrett; one son, Paul Otis Durrett; three sisters, Shirley Sue Brown, Cathren JoAnn Cogburn, and Darlene Shupert; and one grandson, Adam Joe Durrett. She is survived by one son, Micky Gene Durrett of Wilburton and two daughters, Holly Faye Robinson of Council Hill and Reba Kay Godwin and her husband Randy of Checotah; one sister, Eureda Bly and her husband Claude of Cameron; three brothers, Charles Shupert and his wife Jackie of Heavener, William Shupert and his wife Carrie Lou of Sallisaw, and Rocky Shupert and his wife Cindy of Fort Smith, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Darnell and her husband Billy, Shawn Durrett, Amanda Durrett, Joe Bias, Deana Bias, Wesley Godwin, and Lacey Blankenship and her husband Don; ten great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 3rd, Checotah Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 4th, Checotah Funeral Service Chapel with interment to follow at Council Hill Cemetery.
