Kenneth Eugene Richardson 88, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center in Bloomington. Born January 6, 1931 in Bloomfield, he was the son of John and Frieda (Stone) Richardson. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. He retired from AT&T, formerly Indiana Bell after 27 years of service as a facility assigner. He married Ruth Hudson on August 31, 1955. Surviving relatives include: his wife of 63 years, Ruth (Hudson) Richardson and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eldon and James Richardson, sisters, Imogene, Eleanor, Esther and Martha, a sister-in-law, Ruth Richardson, a brother-in-law, Harry Hudson and his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Jim Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
