A celebration of life service for Mrs. Joan Myroup, 75, of Jacksonville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Reverend Ricky Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Seven Springs Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Myroup passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at her home in Jacksonville. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Myroup graduated from Mother of Sorrows Catholic High School in Chicago and graduated from Millikin University in 1966. She worked in Oxford at Flint Industries, where she retired in 2013. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Myroup is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry A. Myroup; a son, Jeffrey Myroup; a great-grandchild, Kaitlynn Whaley; and a brother, Raymond Reiche. Mrs. Myroup will be missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Harrington, and Christine (J.P.) Trussell; eight grandchildren, Lyndsey Nelson (Neil), Joshua Johnson, Matthew Whaley, Kayla George (Ramon), Aaron Graves, Hayley Myroup, Jeremy Graves, Amelia Harrington; two great-grandchildren, Emma Lamirata and Carley Whaley; and a niece, Katie Filbin.
