Jane Wolanin, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center, with her loving family at her side. Born in Mlyniska, Poland on December 30, 1950, daughter of the late John and Michalina (Lazorczyk) Wolanin, she has resided locally since 1965. She was a longtime communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke, and later attended Mass regularly at St. Anne Church. Wolanin and wife Mary of Holyoke; beloved fiance, Michael J. Wenninger of South Hadley; nephew, John Wolanin, his wife Alice, and their son Nathan, of Tampa, FL; cousin, Teresa Lazorczyk of Southampton; aunt, Janina Rzepka of Chicopee; several cousins locally and in Poland; and many dear, cherished friends. She will be especially missed by her canine companion, her “princess”, Coco. Funeral services for Jane will be held Thursday at 8:30AM from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Anne Church, 52 College St., Chicopee. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7PM.
