James E. Barber, 88, of Roscoe died Wednesday June, 26 2019 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born December 16, 1930 a son of John and Beatrice Ostrander Barber. James was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the National Slovak Society; his favorite hobbies included fishing and hunting. He graduated from Charleroi High School in 1949. James is survived by his wife of 63, Stefana ‘Stef” Muzina Barber, a son; Michael (Crystal) Barber of Jacksonville Fla., a daughter-in-law; Colleen Barber, 4 grandchildren; Matthew, Stephen (Samantha), Olivia, & Emily Barber, a sister; Ina Bilitski, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son James Barber Jr., 3 brothers; John, Frank, and Rich, 4 sisters; Melissa, Marie, Annamae, and Beatrice. Visitation will be on Sunday June 30, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. A blessing service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, in the funeral home with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery. favorite_border Donations Pledges
