James Douglas Streight, 66, of Marietta, died Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Jim was born May 26, 1953 in Marietta, Ohio to James and Helen Streight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Panama. Jim married Margaret Britton on August 18, 1973. He worked for Pattons Manufacturing and retired from Waste Management. He enjoyed NASCAR, scratch off lottery tickets, and loved Ohio State Football. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret; children Shawn (Stephanie) Streight, Amy Bickham (Travis Fry); grandchildren James Dye, Payton (Evan Rhodes) Dye, Alivia Bickham (Brian Foster); great-grandchildren Brody Rhoades and Abigail Foster; sisters Diane Sullivan and Brenda Smith; mother Helen Streight Hilverding. Jim was preceded in death by his father James Berkley Streight; brother Joe Streight, brother-n-law Mick Sullivan, and his grandparents. Friends may call Monday July 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
