Mrs. Doris Jean Wells, of Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Franciscan Heath House in Indianapolis. She was 80. Doris was born March 5, 1939 in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late James M. and Thelma L. (Hancock) Totten. Doris attended Southport High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1957. She was employed with AT&T and faithfully served in the sales and service department. She enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening as well as technology. She loved her family dearly and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Doris is survived by her children, Jeffrey M. (Cynthia Galloway) Wells, Karen L. (Jefferson) Fletcher and David M. (Lisa O’Dowd) Wells; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her siblings, Michael Totten and Lynn Trusty. A Celebration of Life honoring Doris will take place from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Northwest Park, 1300 Fry Road in Greenwood. Doris will be inurned beside her family at Greenwood Cemetery.
