Donald’s Obituary Donald F. Dunlap, 82, of East Stroudsburg, died Monday evening, June 10, 2019, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. He was the husband of Carol M. (Shaw) Dunlap. Born on July 21, 1936 in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Amandus and Dorothy (Buffton) Dunlap and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Donald was the founder and owner of Dunlap’s Plumbing & Heating from 1972 until retirement. Donald was a member of the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church where he served on the board. He also donated his time to the construction and maintenance of the church. In addition to his wife, surviving are four children, Cheryl Wellman of East Stroudsburg, Cynthia Courtright of East Stroudsburg, Donald F. Dunlap, Jr. of Bushkill and Kathleen Phillips of Effort; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Swink of Stroudsburg and Sandra Potts of Mississippi; and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Dunlap. A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, June 15, at Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 N. Fifth Street, Stroudsburg. Cremation was private and burial will take place at a later date at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
