Neal, Dick, of Cedar Hill, Missouri was born November 7, 1927, in Bell, California, to Jake and Pearl (nee Pike) Neal and entered into rest, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 11 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, his lovely wife, Modene (nee Mandrell) Neal and his siblings, Ida Neal and Roy Neal. He is survived by, his loving wife of 30 years Heather (nee Barnes) Neal, two (2) daughters, Christy (Russell Sommer) Noll and Beverly (George) Zuniga, four (4) grandchildren, John (Janie) Brady, Monica (William) Warren, Stephanie (Rocky) Akins and Michael (Abigail) Zuniga, eight (8) great grandchildren, two (2) great, great grandchildren, along with other family members and many friends. Dick proudly served his family and country as a corporal in the United States Army during the Cold War. The time he spent in the military made a big impact on his life. Dick loved and adored his family. He married his first love, Modene in 1955. They soon had a family. Dick worked in the material department at Chrysler for 33 years, moving his family to Missouri in 1971 when the Los Angeles plant closed. Never one to be idle for long, after retiring, he kept busy working for a home rental maintenance company with Mo’s help. He was known for spoiling his grandchildren. Dick lost Mo in 1985. He stayed active with the Big River VFW Post and setting for sale signs for Century 21 Real Estate. Dick found love twice; he married Heather, July 8, 1988. They found happiness traveling and building a small home repair business. Dick had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing and working with his hands. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Friday, June 21, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until Service at 2:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Interment at CHAPEL HILL MEMORIAL GARDENS.
