Cheryl A. Walters, 67, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Herman and Imelda (Wertz) Walters. Surviving are a brother, Paul and wife, Beth, of Hollidaysburg; nieces and nephews: Rodney, John, Matt, Mindy, Mike, Lanita and Albert; a cousin, Richard Wertz; and a sister-in-law, Deborah Walters. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Walters; and a sister-in law, Shirley Walters. Cheryl graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School, class of 1970. She retired from WJSM Radio in advertising. She was a member of West Loop Missionary Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a junior youth leader and also attended Sonshine Joy. Cheryl enjoyed working with the youth group, traveling with her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from noon to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Royer Cemetery.
