Barbara Elizabeth Scott December 29, 1930 – May 30, 2019 Mrs. Barbara Elizabeth Edwards Scott, age 88, a resident of Washington. NC died Thursday May 30, 2019 at Ridgewood Manor. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday June 6, 2019 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington and will be officiated by J.T. Edwards. Mrs. Scott was born in Beaufort County on December 29, 1930 to the late William B. Edwards and Babe Toler. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, cleaning. Mrs. Scott was a wonderful mother, she was kind and understanding. Survivors include three sons, Jack Scott of Aurora, Ashley Scott and wife Jane of Scotland Neck, John Scott of Washington, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold O’Neil Scott, two sons, Bill Scott, Donald “Don” Scott, and two brothers, Alpha Edwards, and James Edwards. The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 12027 NC-55, Alliance, NC 28509.
