SOUTH HADLEY Anita I. Stefanik, of South Hadley, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 after a long illness. She was born in Hartford CT, daughter of the late George and Lillian Palmer, and lived most of her life in South Hadley. Anita worked for many years at the former Dorothy Dodd Clothing Store and at Westmass Eldercare. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Stefanik, in 1992. Anita is survived by five children: Debra Faille and her husband Leo L. Faille Jr. of South Hadley, Edward J. Stefanik Jr. and his wife Patricia of Belchertown, Keith Stefanik of PA, Michael Stefanik of South Hadley and Brian Stefanik of South Hadley; two grandsons: Daniel Faille and wife Valerie of South Hadley and Dr. Michael Faille of Daytona Beach FL; a granddaughter Tori Stefanik of South Hadley; and a brother George R. Palmer of Reno NV. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 92680, Washington DC 20077.
