William “Bill” N. Peck, Jr., 71, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home in Lake Worth, Florida. Bill was born in Martin’s Ferry, Ohio on September 24, 1947 to the late William N. Peck, Sr. and Nellie Gray Holmes Peck. He graduated from Beaufort High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 – 1969. Bill served two tours in Vietnam as a medical assistant. He was very proud of his service. Bill had a great love for sports of all kinds. He especially enjoyed watching basketball and baseball. Bill will be remembered as a kind, sweet man. He enjoyed his life, loved his family, and his life partner, DeDe and his black cat, Midnight. Bill enjoyed the simple life and that’s the life he lived. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Holmes Family Cemetery in Indian Springs. He is survived by his life partner of 28 years, Deborah Arden Will; brother and sister-in-law, David M. and Linda K. Peck; nieces and nephews, Melissa Ambriz, Jonathan Peck and Daniel Peck; and grand nieces and nephews, Hailey Burgower, Jacob Burgower, Jenna Peck and Charlotte Peck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Sue Peck; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hansford Peck; paternal grandparents, Monroe G. and Margaret West Peck; and maternal grandparents, John and Mittie Holmes.
