William Francis Walizer 2019

Major William Francis Walizer, 66, retired USAF, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Wayne UNC Healthcare. William was born in Germany on March 19, 1953 to the late William Marlin Walizer and Mary Virginia Cox Walizer. After graduating from East Carolina Unversity, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. William lived his dream proudly serving as a pilot and flight instructor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. William is survived by his siblings, Brenda Walizer and husband, Michael Nusz of Arvada, CO, Cindy Edwards and husband Joey of Goldsboro, Jay Walizer and wife Colleen of Stuart, FL, Mary Helen Walizer, and Curtis Walizer and partner Doug Vass of Raleigh; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to St. Mary Catholic Parish, 1603 Edgerton Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
