Violet’s Obituary Violet V. Hanson, age 94, of North Mankato, died on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Violet was born on January 28, 1925 in Swede Prairie Township, MN to Joseph and Helen (Haroldson) Hanson. She graduated from Canby High School in 1943. Violet worked as a financial secretary at Kato Engineering for many years. Violet enjoyed needle work and crafts and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Mankato Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame in 2017. Violet is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Hanson of Kandiyohi, MN; niece, Bette (Doug) Berndt of Janesville; nephews, Stan Miller of Eagan, MN, Dave (Renee) Miller of Auburn, WA, and Todd Hanson of Kandiyohi, MN; and many grand nieces and nephews.
