Thomas A. Carpenter of Astor, Florida December 14, 1951 – May 12, 2019 Thomas A. Carpenter, 67 years, formerly of Coal City, IL. passed away peacefully with his Mom by his side, at his home in Astor, FL. Tom was born December 14, 1951 in Morris, IL. to Thomas and Blanch (nee Olsen) Carpenter. He attended Coal City Schools and graduated with the Class of 1970. Tom loved being at the ocean and camping. His great loves were his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Art) Garcia of Homewood, IL. and Taylor Carpenter of Seattle, WA.; his son Andy Carpenter of Shoreline, WA; his grandchildren, Max and Sam Garcia; his mother, Blanch; his siblings, Dan (Joannie) Carpenter of Coal City, Kim ( the late Bob) Craterfield of Carbon Hill, IL. and Paul Carpenter of Astor, FL.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at another time.
