Obituary for Robert Timothy “Tim” DeRegnaucourt Robert Timothy “Tim” DeRegnaucourt, age 48, passed away on Thursday May 23, 2019 at 1:38 pm as result of natural causes. Tim was born October 19, 1970, in Grand Rapids Michigan. He graduated from West Catholic High School, class of 1988 and went on to graduate from the University of Michigan class of 1992. Tim was an Entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word having opened several successful businesses. However, he is best known for having launched The Villages Safe Ship stores in Colony Plaza and Southern Trace where he was recognized for building the Colony Plaza store into the highest volume store in national franchise history. He was also known for organizing and contributing to multiple National/Community Disaster relief efforts around the country. His generous spirit is still embraced by his Safe Ship family as part of the Mission that he implemented. Being at the top in the nation was nothing new to Tim who had been top 3 in the nation for power lifting and an All State Football player who was recognized as the Chamber of Commerce Academic Athlete of the year during his years at West Catholic. Tim continued his successful trend by going on to march in two Rose Bowl parades during is years at U of M. Tim most recently returned to national level competition by re-entering the horse industry and assisting his son Mason to earn two national top 10 awards at the United States Youth Nationals. Aside from his national recognition, Tim’s true legacy was his ability to touch the lives of others within his community but most specifically in the way he cared and provided for his family as a husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed and his memory will always be held in our hearts. He is survived by his wife Janel Mack, daughter Alex (Alexander) White, son Mason, mother and step-father, Lynne (Bob) Csaszar. his Step Mother Jacque DeRegnaucourt, brother Todd (Zandra) DeRegnaucourt, sister Becky (Bill) Veltema and numerous aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Father, James Timothy DeRegnaucourt; Grandparents Anne and Otto DeRegnaucourt and Becky and Lewis Smith; aunts Gail and Pam (DeRegnaucourt). A memorial Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at the family’s residence. Contributions in Tim’s memory may be made to his son Mason’s scholarship trust.
