Robert “Lurch” Lee Hesson, age 69, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on May 21, 2019. A Westmoreland native, Robert was born to the late Ransom Stamps Hesson and Lena Ruth Carr. For most of his life, he worked in machinist manufacturing. He loved cars and Honda motorcycles. Robert loved watching NASCAR, and in earlier years, he drag raced his Chevelle at Beech Bend. Robert loved sci-fi movies and rock n’ roll music. He enjoyed bowling and family game nights with his children. Robert was a very simple man. Although he had a quiet demeanor, he was involved in different hobbies. He believed in doing jobs for himself, his way, and was a “do it yourself” kind of man. Robert is survived by children; Tracy Givens, and husband Billy of Gallatin, Kelly Warren, and husband, Tom of Hendersonville, Eric Hesson, and wife, Karri, of Castalian Springs, grandchildren; Kagen Hesson of Castalian Springs, nieces; Shayn Perry, Mandy Keen-Bolton, Brandy Neal, nephew, Clint Keen, and former wife and mother of his children, Charlotte Brooks, of Hendersonville. Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by siblings, Shirley Henry, Raymond Hesson, and Bonnie Keen. Celebration of Life for Robert will be held at a later date.
