Raymond Rudolph Gadient, 81, of Red Wing, died on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Lake City Care Center. Ray was born on October 25, 1937 in Red Wing, MN to David and Freida Gadient. He attended Goodhue High School and married Ruth Ann Doose on September 27, 1958. They made their home in Red Wing, where they raised ten children. Ray enjoyed spending time at the camper, fishing, and had a love for motorcycles, attending Sturgis Rallies since 1977. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth, son Mark David Walter Gadient, grandson Blake, as well as his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his children Tammi (Ron) Carpenter, Tony (Tammy), Mary Cordes, Lisa (Daniel), Randy (Patty), Scott (Lori), Charles, Todd (Teresa), and Chad (Jessie); 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Columbkill Catholic Church in Belle Creek Township, Goodhue County, on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, also at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity/St. Columbkill Cemetery. Lundberg Funeral Home of Cannon Falls is assisting the family.
