Obituary for Homer Couch Sr. Homer Couch, Sr., age 72, of Berea, passed away after a brief illness at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born in Leatherwood, Kentucky to the late George and Belle Holbrook Couch. He was landscaper by trade and loved being outdoors. Homer was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to his beautiful garden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four siblings, Vada Duade, Haley Waddell, Elbert Couch, and Ellis Couch. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Ann Couch; two devoted children, Angela Couch, Homer Couch, Jr. and his wife Sara; six siblings, Hassel Couch, Wanda Faye Eldridge, Naomi Williams, Gerald Couch, Nellie Litteral, and Della Caudill; and three adoring grandchildren, Homer Stephan Couch, Dylan Fender, and James Couch. Homer’s love spread wide through his family, friends, and neighborhood. He took great joy in helping others whenever possible and was always willing to go above and beyond for those he loved. Funeral services will be 2pm, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Lakes Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11am until 2pm at the funeral home.
