Shirley M.  Horner, 79 of Adrian MO, passed away May 26, 2019 in the home.  A Celebration of Life was held Friday May 31, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137 (waysidewaifs.org).

Shirley was born to the late Sam Tirey Harris and Burta Claire (Ford) Harris on December 27, 1939 in Kansas City, MO.  Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who were in her life and crossed paths in her life.  She never met a stranger and freely joked and talked with everyone!  She dearly loved her grandchildren and spent a lot of time and many summers with them as they grew up.  They all fondly remember Grandma and Grandpa’s house and time spent with them.  She loved all animals, (squirrels, rabbits, raccoons), and especially her dogs and cats.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Glorine Tuohey.  She is survived by her husband, Nelson "Ed" Horner and her four children: Molly Rauschenberger, Vickie Corbin, Robert Bradley and Sylvia Dodson; two step-children, Nathan Horner and Mikki Olson; her brother, Thomas Harris; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
