Obituary of Michael J. Sokolovich Michael J. Sokolovich, “Soko” age 63, a lifetime resident of Upland, PA, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 with his loved ones around him. Son of the late Nicholas and Laura (Kirkpatrick) Sokolovich. He was a graduate of Collingdale High School. Michael was employed by Witco in Trainer PA and then worked for USIC before retiring in 2015. Mike was the father of 4 Daughters and a loving husband for more than 20 years. He was a 35 year member of the Upland Fire Company. Mike joined in 1984 and received honorary membership within the Company. He had many friends and family within the Fire Service. He served as a Chief from 1989-1992 and also held the positions of Assistant Chief and Engineer. Soko was a Phillies fan and enjoyed watching the games with his girls. Soko enjoyed fishing and sitting on his front porch with his dogs Rascal and Ricki. He was a proud supporter of Miller Lite, especially with friends and family of good company. Mike is survived by his Wife: Jennifer (Kozlowski) Sokolovich. Daughters: Rebekah Childs, Jessica Tillery (Qadree), Megan Sokolovich and Leann Sokolovich Grandchildren: Ethan, Landon and Lucille Brothers: Nicholas and Matthew Sokolovich and Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation: Saturday, May 11th from 8:30AM-10:15AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Funeral Service: Saturday, May 11th at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upland Fire Company #1 1 McClintock Drive, Upland, PA 19015.
