Michael R. Anderson, 72, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Mon., May 13, 2019 at the Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, on Fri., May 17, and Memorial Services at 10 am, Sat., May 18, both at the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church in Bonner Springs, KS with burial of ashes to follow at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Michael R. Anderson Memorial Fund in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Mike was born on March 10, 1947 in Hays, KS., the only child of Paul & Norma (Reents) Anderson. He graduated from the Norton Community High School in Norton, KS. and received his undergrad degree from Kansas State University and Graduate degrees from the University of Kansas. He worked for many years for the Department of Defense at Fort Leavenworth. He was a member of the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church and a past president of the Bonner Springs Rotary. He enjoyed playing golf in the Senior Golf League at Sunflower Hills Golf Course. Mike was preceded in death by his son Adam Anderson in 2004 and is survived by his wife of 46 years Judy Anderson of the home and one daughter Erica Anderson of Nashville, TN as well as many other friends and family that will miss him greatly.
