Mary’s Obituary Ms. Mary Jean (Jones) Jimerson was born on November 17, 1941 to the late Walter Jones and Essie Mapp Jones in Newton County. She graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, MS. Later she moved to Gulfport and united with Friendship Baptist Church under the direction of the late Rev. Melvin Hendricks. She was employed by the Grand Casino in Gulfport for many years until her health failed. Mary Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her family unconditionally and was always willing to help anyone. She enjoyed her family at all of their gatherings. She relished the opportunity to compete and play cards and dominoes with friends and family. She was a very classy lady who was very humorous at times. She will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; Walter and Essie Jones, four brothers; Joseph Jones, Willie L. Jones, David Jones and Eddie V. Jones; two sisters Mattie Lee Jones , Jannie Lee Copeland and one grandson; Nicholas Terrell Pittman. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories three brothers; Mr. Walter (Cora) Jones, of Gulfport, MS, Mr. Mitchell (Edna) Jones of Saginaw, MI, Mr. J. D. Jones of Gulfport, MS; three sisters; Mrs. Angie Stewart, Gulfport, MS, Mrs. Frankie Williams of Gary, IN, Mrs. Eunice (Frank) Earl of Spartanburg, SC, two sons Kennard (Charlotte) Jimerson, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Ken Richard (Bridget) Jimerson, of Gulfport, MS, six grandchildren; Irving (Alisha) Gayle II, Kennard Jimerson III, Kia Nicole Pittman, Monique (David) Wright, Tashyna Jimerson, Kelsey Jimerson, eight great-grandchildren; Sa’Niya Gayle, Nicholas Pittman, Jr., Justice Pittman, Londynn Monroe Gayle, Anthony Martin, Chauncey Jimerson, Monika Wright, and David Wright Jr..
