Mary Ellen (Taylor) Patton, age 95, of Jefferson City, TN, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at Signature Lifestyles. An area resident since 1991, she was born July 10, 1923 in New Bremen, OH, the daughter of James D. and Rhea V. (Riley) Taylor. Married to Wayne L. Belton, who proceeded her in death in 1973. Mary Ellen was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Bio-Medical Communications at The Ohio State University and retired in 1991. She then married Charles (Pat) Patton in 1991 and moved to Tennessee. Pat, who affectionately referred to her as M.E., survives along with two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig & Barbara and Jeff & Julie; three step sons and wives, Jeff & Angela, Jon & Suzanne and Joe & Tanya; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also proceeded in death by son, Bruce Taylor and brother Paul. Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11 AM in First Presbyterian Church, 721 Church Street, Jefferson City, TN with the Reverend David Strickler officiating. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service.
