Mary Alpha Mobley, age 97, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, formerly of Haleyville, AL., passed away May 22, 2019 at Hendrix Health and Rehab in Double Springs, AL. She and her husband, the late James Robert Mobley, moved from this area to Dearborn, Michigan., where she lived for 69 years. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and Dearborn Heights Baptist Church. Visitation is Friday, May 24, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service is Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., with Jeff Mobley officiating. Burial to follow in King Schoolhouse Cemetery. She is survived by daughter in law, Nancy Mobley; son, Robert Larry Mobley, his wife Connie Jean; daughter, Mary Sharon Acord, her husband Karl; brother, Orthes Stults; sister, Ora Johnson; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Daniel Stults and Mary Isabell ward Stults; husband, James Robert Mobley; son, James Wayland Mobley; 3 brothers, Lonzo, Nelson and Kenneth Stults.
