Martin’s Obituary Martin Lewis White, 73, of 112 Cypress Road, Merry Hill, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in his home where he was surrounded by family. Mr. White was born in Bertie County on February 27, 1946, and was the son of the late Louis Chesley and Josie Evans White. Retired from Robertson Ceco Corp. where he designed and built steel structures, he later retired as a district sales manager. A member of Merry Hill Baptist Church, other enjoyments included membership in the Metal Builders Manufacturers Association, the MNO Club, Kiwanis, Elks, the Wolfpack Club, and his love, The NC State University Club. Mr. White had served in the North Carolina National Guard. Surviving are his wife of nearly 52 years, Gail Davis White; his daughter, Brandee White Metz, her husband Edward, and their children, Jackson and Davis, of Houston, TX; his son, Taylor Martin White, and his wife Kristin, of Kinston; and three sisters, his twin Marian White Earley and husband, David, of Windsor, Anna White Graves and husband, Charles, of Merritt Island, FL, and Charlotte White Robertson of Colerain.
