JV Binkley, age 48, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 24, 2019 in Troy, Michigan. JV was born in Bangkok, Thailand to loving parents Darrel and Rum (Junkiang) Binkley. In 1972, the Binkley family moved from Thailand to Wayne, Michigan when JV was over one year old. He graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1989. JV started to work for Knights Vending Company who quickly became a second family to him. He continued working within the vending industry eventually working with Northern Vending- a company he enjoyed working for. In 1990, at the age of 19, JV met Wendy Schwartzenberger through mutual friends. The two quickly became inseparable and married in 1993 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The couple settled down in Belleville, Michigan until 1995 when they moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where JV was proud to live and raise his children, Isabella and Thai. JV was a proud and dedicated father, always making himself available for sporting events that filled the weekends with soccer and baseball travel. He enjoyed playing video games with his kids and lived his life for his family. JV is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Binkley; his children, Isabella and Thai Binkley; his parents, Darrell and Rum Binkley; his mother-in-law, Cindy Renkiewicz; his brother-in-law, Raymond (Lynette) Schwartzenberger; and his niece and nephews, Christopher, Leah, and Braden Schwartzenberger. He will also be deeply missed by many other friends and family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 4-8 pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor. A celebration of life service will take place at Nie Funeral Home the following day, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11 am. Friends and family are welcome to gather at 10 am.
