John Howard Freeman October 18 1957 May 26 2019

John Howard Freeman, 61, of Jefferson City, MO passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO due to injuries sustained in the May 22 Tornado. He was born October 18, 1957 in Jefferson City to the late John and Alma (Angel) Freeman. He is survived by his sons, Jonathan and wife Susan of Jefferson City, MO; Shawn and wife Katie of Jefferson City, MO; and Shannon Freeman of Denver, CO. Grandchildren, James and Bryse Freeman, Sydney Forck, Addison and Ava Finley. He is also survived by his former wife, Tami Hopkins, with whom he maintained a close friendship with. A grandson, Matthew Freeman preceded him in death. John enjoyed tinkering with cars and stereos and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed family time and playing with his dog Daisy who was also killed as a result of the storm. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family requests memorials in his name be made to the Friends of the Jefferson City Animal Shelter where Daisy had been adopted.
