James William Beadenkopf July 13 1937 May 20 2019

Mr. James William Beadenkopf, age 81, of Canton, Georgia formerly of the West Point Community in Morgan County, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Georgia. Mr. Beadenkopf was born on July 13, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland to Roland Beadenkopf & Francis Hand Beadenkopf. He retired from the U.S. Army as Staff Sergeant First Class and later worked as a Procurement Manager at the Redstone Arsenal. In his past time Mr. Beadenkopf enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially to Gulf Shores and Myrtle Beach. He was an avid Alabama Fan. Mr. Beadenkopf is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Beadenkopf; daughters & sons-in-law, Sharon Dietz & Tony, Joyce Potter & Tom; grandchildren, Rebecca Shelton Cozza & Robert Michael, Mary Collen Cowan; great grandchildren, Sharon Ansley Catoe, Alexis Madeline Cozza, Evva Josephine Cozza, Robert Michael Cozza, Jr.; sister, May Pearce. Preceded in death by his parents, Roland Beadenkopf & Francis Hand Beadenkopf; son, James William Beadenkopf, Jr.; brothers, Gene Beadenkopf, Roland Beadenkopf, Jr. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bryan C. Mosely, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower Ste 400 Atlanta, GA 30328.
