Harold’s Obituary HAROLD J. REISS, 84, of Red Bud Illinois, passed away at 6:05am, Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois. He was born to the late Martin and Virgie (nee Gibbar) Reiss, Sr on October 18, 1934 in Perry County Missouri. Harold married Elizabeth “Betty” Montroy on September 8, 1962 in Chester, Illinois; she survives. Harold was a self employed construction worker. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and hunting squirrels. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois and the St. Louis Carpenter’s Union. Harold also served in the Missouri National Guard for 7 years. Survivors: Wife: Elizabeth “Betty” Reiss Red Bud, IL 3 Daughters: Anna (John) O’Gara Belleville, IL Maria (Chris) Mudd Perryville, MO Amy (Ron) Liefer Chester, IL 6 Siblings: Martin Reiss, Jr Norman Reiss June (Kim) Moore Shirley Tarrillion Dorothy Smith Doris (Ken) Dauster 8 Grandchildren: Sarah (Jake) Michael, Laura Liefer, Brian Liefer, Hannah Mudd, Rachel Mudd, Andrew Mudd, Maggie O’Gara, and Mary Kate O’Gara Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents and 2 Brothers – Dale and Donald Reiss, and 1 Sister –Theresa Sutterer It was Harold’s wishes to donated his body to Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
