Funeral services for Goldie Kenney, long time resident of Custer county will be at Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, May 21, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Kenney passed away May 17, 2019 at Angle Wood Assisted Living, Clinton, Oklahoma. She was born on January 23, 1914 in Higgins, Texas, the youngest of four children of Ed and Effie Young. While she was a small child, the family moved to Oklahoma, settling in the Foss community where she attended school. In 1934, she married Jim Kenney and they established their home in the area where Foss Lake is now located. As the dam was being build across their homestead, they relocated for awhile to Stafford but later made their permanent residence in Clinton. They continued t farm and ranch in Custer County, and for a number of years, also owned and operated Goldieā€™s Drive In in Burns Flat. She is predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings. Survivors include one son Max Kenney and spouse, Tricia of Clinton, and one daughter, Janice Dew and spouse, Gene of Duncanville, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
