Fred M. Hatfield II, age 86, of Fredericktown, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on Nov. 15, 1932 in Fredericktown to the late Fred and Mary (Crane) Hatfield. Fred was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pamela J. (Smalley); four children, David (Cathy) Hatfield, Steve Hatfield and Diana (Randy Gump) Hatfield all of Mount Vernon; Fred (Kristi) Hatfield of Columbus; sisters, Susie Zernis, Betty Heil, Martie Stringfellow, Jean Johnson, Georgia Helmick and JoAnn McCall; 13 grandchildren, Joel, Amy, Kelly, Joshua, David, Seth, Aaron, Danielle, Rachelle, Abraham, Amanda, Jeremiah and Quinten; along with numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lucius, Luther and Bill Hatfield; and a sisters, Louise Leedy and Joyce Calver. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Where funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ted Kiger officiating.
