Steve Rodgers officiating. Cullman Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Segars passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born on July 9, 1943 to Randolph and Ida Segars. She was co-owner of Cherokee Court Efficiency Apartments in Vinemont and was retired from Chrysler Electronics. Doris is survived by her business partner and companion, Jamie Lee Ponder; brother, George (Joyce) Segars; nephews, Greg (Melody) Segars and Eric (Gwen) Segars and her four cherished furbabies. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Willard Segars; sisters, Margaret “Tootsie” Segars Fitzgerald and Venera “Sis” Segars Shaddix and nephew, Darryl Segars. The family would like to give a special thank you to Bobbie Lemley and Sonny Foster for the special care given to Doris; and a host of special friends throughout the years. Thank you to the CRMC 4 East staff and Hospice of Cullman County, especially Michelle Churchill.
