On Monday, April 29, 2019, David A. Barna passed away quite unexpectedly after being stricken at his home. David was born in Holyoke on July 1, 1966, he was a longtime resident of Feeding Hills, graduating from Agawam High School in 1984. He began his career at True Value Hardware in Chicopee and then with OK Baker Supply in Springfield. He was currently at Thurston Foods, Inc. in Wallingford, CT where he has been employed for the past 10 years. Very much an outdoorsman, David was previously a member of the West Springfield Fish & Game Club in Agawam, was a member of the ski patrol at Magic Mtn. in VT, and he enjoyed hunting, archery, horses, darts, pool and auto swap meets. He was devoted to his family and friends and most enjoyed vacations at Old Orchard Beach with his family. David leaves his mother, Judith (LeFrancois) Barna White of Chicopee, his sons, Joseph and Joshua and his long-time companion, Deborah Geary, all of Feeding Hills, a step sister, Lisa Palmer and family of Pittston, ME, and many good friends and loving fur baby Neico. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Laflamme) Barna, stepfather, Gerald P. White, maternal grandparents, Francis and Emily Laframboise, and his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Helen Malouin. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee from 10 a.m. until the funeral home prayer service begins at 12:30.
