Clinton Edward Abbott, age 86, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born September 23, 1932 in Armorel, Arkansas to Clinton LeRoy and Audrea Mae Skipper Abbott. On January 21, 1952 he married Mary Ann Dobbs in Oak Grove, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 30, 2014. Clinton grew up in Armorel, Arkansas. He entered the US Army in 1953 during the Korean Conflict but was stationed in Germany. He raised his family in Las Vegas and worked as a heavy equipment operator at the Nevada Test Site. Later he became an automotive mechanic. He and Mary Ann moved to Overton in the early 1990’s. He enjoyed restoring Model A Fords and tractors. He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Mark of Logandale; Phillip (Judy) of Las Vegas; Suzanne of Eureka, NV; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one brother, Alan (Anita) of Yucca Valley, CA. He is preceded in death by one sister, Doris Shirley Rooney. Private services will be held at a later date.
