Mr. Charles “Charlie” William Cross, Sr., 97 of Brighton, passed away on May 23, 2019. Mr. Cross, the widower of Mrs. Lexie V. Cross, was a carpenter and member of the Central Christian Church. Mr. Cross is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Mae Pilkington of Ashland, MS; his sons, Charles W. Cross, Jr., Christopher W. Cross, and Gary H. Cross all of Covington; 10 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Cross was preceded in death by his parents, Willie H. and Willie Mae Cross; and by his sister, Mildred Lucille Kindrick. Services for Mr. Cross will be held on Sunday, May 26, at 2PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will take place from 12:30-2:00 prior to the services beginning. Interment will follow in R. H. Munford Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Byrd officiating.
