Bernice Couper December 12 1923

Bernice Cain was born on 12/12/23 at her Grandmother Dailey’s home in Lisco, Nebraska to Mary E. Dailey Cain and Alphonsus L. Cain. She attended school in Lisco until the family moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1935. In 1936 they moved to a 40-acre farm north of Payette. She graduated from Payette High School in 1942 and went to work as a bookkeeper for Idaho Power until her marriage to Charles Couper on 11/30/47. She worked at Moscow Electric while her husband finished school. They returned to Payette until 1957 when they moved to Boise. She worked as a demonstrator at Albertsons in the late 60s and early 70s before going to work as a bookkeeper for Albertsons, retiring in 1986. Our dear sweet and kind Mom was an incredible seamstress, wonderful cook, enjoyed playing bridge with her many life-long friends, and dearly loved playing golf to the age of 92. She was preceded by her parents, sister Elizabeth Patton and brothers Edward Cain and Don Cain. She is survived by her husband, son Richard Couper and his wife Sue, granddaughter Jessie, son Norm Couper, daughter Diane Couper, grandson Ross and his wife Stephanie and great grandson Shane and granddaughter Kristin and great granddaughter Cameron, and brothers John Cain and Ron Cain and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Grace Meridian Memory Care for taking such good care of her. At her request there will be no services.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bernice Couper December 12 1923.
