Arlene Grace-Pio 1960 2019

Obituary of Arlene Grace-Pio Arlene “Cholly” Grace-Pio, 58, of Hilltown Township, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2019, after a short illness. She and her husband, Stephen “Weo” Pio, would have observed 35 th wedding anniversary on June 1 st of this year. Born November 16, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of Arlene (Dougherty) Rickards of Warrington, PA, and the late Eugene “Ace” Grace. She was also a stepdaughter of the late Wesley Rickards. She grew up in the Chalfont, PA and Doylestown, PA areas and was a 1978 graduate of Central Bucks East High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA. Arlene opened Warrington Pet Stop in 1981 which she operated until 1998. She then moved operations to her property at her home under the name of Arlene’s Kennel until recent years. She earned her real estate license in 2011 and worked with Keller Williams Real Estate in Montgomeryville, PA. Arlene enjoyed nature and loved time at the beach. Her favorite escape was Cape May, NJ. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Lauren Grace Pio of Hilltown, PA; three siblings, Debbie Best of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Eugene Grace and his wife, Laurie, of Buckingham, PA, and Douglas Rickards of Harrisburg, PA, as well as nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her loyal dog, Lily. Services will be private. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org , or to your own local animal rescue. Arrangements are by R. L.
